I am fairly certain I have posted about the importance of hydration before, but I can’t help myself and I’m posting about it again! Especially as the weather gets warmer, it is KEY!! Water is one of those health tips that seems so simple yet is often overlooked.


Pure, clean, filtered water is always best. Women should aim for 2L daily and men should aim for 3L. Herbal teas definitely count and have other wonderful health benefits such as aiding digestion.


Don’t underestimate how vital water is to our bodies:

  • Water helps flush harmful toxins out of our system
  • Prevents constipation
  • Increases energy levels
  • Assists in weight loss
  • Helps the body absorb nutrients
  • Aids in digestion
  • Keeps skin hydrated
  • Regulates body temperature
  • Plus so much more!


Need some tips to help achieve 2-3L daily?


Get a stainless steel water bottle or a BPA-Free plastic bottle and carry it with you to work or during your day and sip on it. In between, instead of a coffee or sugar filled soda, choose an herbal tea! Your body will appreciate it:)


I’ve heard people say that they don’t like the taste of water, if that’s the case, add lemon/lime wedges to help you out. I also like cucumber and apple wedges especially in the summer months. Or you can use frozen berries, they taste good and double as ice!
