At your consultation health concerns&complaints as well as nutrition and lifestyle goals will be discussed. The results of your assessment will be reviewed in order to design an action plan that is customized to your needs. Valerie will help to educate, inspire and guide you towards optimal health.

 

Nutritional Assessments

Nutri-System Profile: This assessment tool is based on the nutritional symptomatology of the body systems. Clients rate each symptom on the NSP form on a scale of 1-3 depending on the frequency and severity of the symptom or condition. The purpose of this intake is to uncover deficiencies or imbalances-not to diagnose a condition.

 

Life Style Assessment Form

Gives valuable insight into your habits, state of mind and spiritual inclination all of which are important to overall well-being. It will provide valuable health related information such as your health concerns, family and past medical history. This information is necessary in identifying foods that need to be eliminated from or added to the diet and suggesting important lifestyle changes.

 

Food Journal

It is necessary to keep a food journal for 3-5 days prior to your consultation. Record every small bite taken, all meals and snacks, beverages consumed and energy levels. This information will also be used when creating your meal plan.

 

Personalized Meal Plans

Valerie will customize a meal plan that is tailored specifically for you. Taking into consideration your food preferences and intolerances or sensitivities, lifestyle and genetic predispositions. Additionally, recipes and meal planning strategies will be offered so that you can start your journey towards healthier living.

 

Grocery Store Tours

Learn how to shop for nutritious foods with an expert by your side. Valerie will show you what to look for, what to avoid and how to properly read food labels as well as avoid mixed marketing messages of food packaging. She will provide a handout of tips to help you navigate the grocery store and show you how to shop based on a meal plan.

 

Kitchen Pantry Raid

Valerie will come to your house and help you go through your kitchen cabinets and fridge. Learn which items in your kitchen could be working against your health goals. Valerie will show you how to create a healthy grocery list and teach you how to stock your kitchen with whole foods for healthful living.
