PRENATAL CHIROPRACTOR NEWMARKET
More Than Adjustments, Support for Your Entire Pregnancy
From the moment you find out you’re expecting, it isn’t about pain relief. It’s about having the right support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
At Foster Family Chiropractic, we’ve been supporting moms, babies, and families in Newmarket for over 20 years. Perinatal care has always been at the heart of what we do.
Is Chiropractic Care Safe During Pregnancy?
It’s one of the first things we hear, and the short answer is yes!
Our approach leans on tonal and instrument-assisted adjusting — gentle, precise techniques that don’t require any twisting or aggressive movement. You’ll be comfortably supported throughout every visit, and our techniques are adapted as your body changes between trimesters.
All three of our chiropractors have completed additional training in perinatal care. Pregnancy chiropractic isn’t a side offering here.
It’s a specialty we’ve built intentionally for over two decades.
How Prenatal Chiropractic Can Help You
Pregnancy is a beautiful, transitional phase. It’s a time full of change, and this puts significant stress on your nervous system, pelvis, and spine.
Research shows chiropractic adjustments while pregnant can provide safe treatment for:
- Hip and pelvic pain
- Pubic symphysis dysfunction (SPD)
- Lower back pain
- Sleep disruption
- Sciatica
- Headaches
- Baby’s positioning (including breech)
A prenatal chiropractor’s goal isn’t just to get you through pregnancy more comfortably, it’s to support the birth experience you’re hoping for and help you recover well afterwards.
Support at Every Trimester, Not Just When It Hurts
One of the things we’re most proud of at FFC is the care system we’ve built around the perinatal journey, because your pregnancy isn’t just one stage.
First Trimester
As soon as you find out you’re pregnant, you’re welcome here. We’ll start getting to know your body, your history, and what you’re hoping for. You’ll get our first trimester ebook with practical information and connections to specialists you may need along the way.
Second Trimester
Your body is changing quickly and we’ll adapt your care accordingly. You’ll receive our second trimester guide with updated recommendations as we start paying closer attention to pelvic alignment and baby’s positioning.
Third Trimester
This is where we lean in. Preparing your nervous system and body for birth, we take this stage seriously. You’ll get two third-trimester resources, and if you need to come in outside of regular hours, we usually make that work. A mom in her third trimester doesn’t wait.
Postpartum
The fourth trimester is real, and it matters. Dealing with physical recovery? Struggling with feeding challenges? Just trying to hold it together? Our door is open. We have a postpartum resource guide and more waiting for you as well.
Why Foster Family Chiropractic?
There are chiropractors who see pregnant patients. And then there are practices that have made perinatal care a defining part of who they are. We’re the latter.
20+ Years of Perinatal Experience
Our team has been working with pregnant women and newborns for over 20 years. The experience gained from thousands of adjustments is a difference you feel.
Webster Technique Certified
This gentle adjustment protocol is shown to support optimal fetal position, with a success rate of 82% for babies turning vertex when the Webster Technique is used.
Additional Pediatric Training
All three chiropractors have completed training beyond chiropractic college in breastfeeding, tongue tie, and intraoral bodywork.
No Hard Sales Pitches
Your health journey is yours. We’ll never pressure you to stay, tell you to stop seeing other practitioners, or make you feel guilty for taking a break. Come when it serves you most.
Get a Chiropractor, Gain an Entire Support Network
We’ve spent years building relationships with practitioners in and around Newmarket because we believe good care is collaborative. When you come to visit us, you get access to that network.
We work closely with:

Common Questions You May Want to Ask
Is it safe for my baby?
Yes, and we cover this in detail above. The short version: we use gentle fingertip pressure with no twisting or aggressive movement, and all three of our chiropractors have completed specific perinatal training.
When’s the best time to start?
We always say: the earlier, the better! But there’s no wrong time — we’ve seen women start in their first trimester and others who walked in two days before their due date. Wherever you are, we’ll meet you there.
Our approach to prenatal chiropractic care is a proactive one. Starting treatment early in your pregnancy journey means your body can better respond to the ever-changing nature of growing your baby. We would love to come alongside you to provide some comfort and pain relief!
Do I need to be in pain to come in?
Not at all. Some of the most meaningful care we provide is proactive, getting to know your body before something becomes a problem. You don’t have to wait until it hurts to benefit from support.
How does the Webster Technique address breech presentation?
The Webster Technique is a gentle ligament release and adjusting protocol that has been shown to be effective in reducing in-utero constraint — tension that may exist across the uterine/abdominal area caused by stress on surrounding ligaments and improper sacral (pelvic) alignment.
It has been associated with a high incidence of fetuses that are in breech or abnormal fetal position. If in-utero constraint is determined to be present, the Webster Technique is implemented to remove the restraining forces, thus allowing the baby to establish the preferred head-down position. It’s that easy!
Dr. Warner and Dr. Ramsey are certified in the analysis and implementation of the Webster Technique.
How late in my pregnancy can I be adjusted?
Right up until birth. Depending on the mom, we may even recommend increasing the frequency of visits in your final month. Supporting pelvic alignment and nervous system function in those last weeks can make a real difference to your birth experience.
Do I have to continue after birth?
Not at all! Many moms continue treatment after giving birth because they enjoy how chiropractic adjustments make them feel, but there’s never a requirement. The choice is completely up to you.
